The painted Portrait Project is a documentation of people and their stories of who they are. All my paintings are created from digital images that I take of you. The photo shoot takes place in my studio here in Col. Condesa, D.F. Mexico City. I request that when you come that you bring with you a selection of clothes, outfits and accessories such as hats, scarf’s. I am looking for a specific look in color pattern, style and attitude. The portrait is basically from your chest up defining the face. The shoot itself will take approximately 3 to 5 hours of you changing in and out of different clothing as you model for me.

At the end of each session we will review the images of you together to determine which is the best to be painted and why. I am looking for 10 excellent images to paint from so the more creative you are in the shoot the better the photographs will be. Once the image(s) has been chosen, you are welcome to watch me start the portrait. You are also welcome to come and watch me paint you any time.

A bit about me: I hold a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA. I have been painting portraits since 1996. Over time my style has change but this year it I have decided to move from acrylic to oils. The changing of the medium is a whole new exciting process for me. In time I will see a progression in style, as I understand the medium more and more.
